OBS in Pulau Ubin!
oh.my.gosh! just went for OBS and it was so damn fun! yeah! had to wake up like really early to go to school! there i've made a new friend, Celine from tennis, while waiting for the bus to come (: it was like both of us dun really noe the other CCA leaders very well except for Jun Kai, so we were like in the same boat (: this was how she introduced herself, "hi, i'm celine. celine dion the celine." wahahaha! and then we realised our bags are the biggest among all the cca leaders who were gg for the trip also! how did they manage to stuff all their stuff into such a small luggage? i guess we're smarter.. put in a big bag so when we open, can see everything! no need to squeeze and shove!

finally when we reached Pulau Ubin on this boat called Harmony (lame. the 2nd boat was called Melody.) was damn excited! celine and i were like acting sociable, going around, forming this big circle and asking everybody for their names =X later on we got split up into our various groups/watches. we weren't in the same grp but i really love my watch! JUNKO! it's very japanese and usually, we like to pronounce it as Junk-o! my watch was made up of jun kai (tent carrier), wen ee (chef), joanna ("aj idol"), joshua (tent pitcher + unsuccessful pacer), amanda, wan ting, wen si, jelene, chinping (my kayaking partner), benjamin (tracker), yewe (assistant navigator) and last but definitely not the least... bing! yup! my watch was made up of pple frm AJ, NJ n SRJC (: thank God we didn't have like little secondary students to babysit =X my watch is like so enthusiastic! i'm so glad everyone was really into doing things together! lots of hilarious moments!

Bing is like the funniest! when u first see him, he looks really nerdy. he's from NJ. but one miraculous day, after trekking almost the whole of ubin, we made our campsite and we were eating instant noodles.. but we were horrified to know that we couldn't find our cutleries! and so Bing, being the indochinese, was eating his noodles with his bare hands and slurpping like a someone who hasn't eaten for weeks! all of a sudden, he told everyone that he isn't just indochinese, he had holland blood in him too and that his family speaks German! we were like damn shock for a few seconds! Bing looks very chinese actually.. n when he spoke German, we were rather impressed! then, with his super ultra lazy voice (which he doesn't think it's funny but we do)

Bing: "actually my full name is very long.."
Everyone: "what is it?"
Bing: "it sounds like a soccer star.."
Everyone: "just tell us!"
Bing: "it's very long.. Johannes Bernardo Bing Christanto!"
Everyone: *time stopped + jaws dropping*

hahahahaha! it was so damn cool! omg! and when we asked for his chinese name, he said in his very broken chi, Chen Wei Ping.. he said his family made up his chinese surname cuz he doesn't have one and so it was Tan because his real surname ChrisTANto has a Tan in it! omg that was so lame! Bing didn't stop there. he really amused us further! he started talking about the transverstites in Changi! he told us that he and his friends during one of the days before OBS, deliberately went to Changi to hunt for transverstites cuz they wanted to see! Bernardo was like describing how they sit and walk! then he said he was riding this 2 persons bicycle and this trans walked up to him n said, "san shi kuai er yi! ($30 only!)" Bing was imitating the trans' disgustingly sweet voice! he decided to play along! Bing replied, "shi kuai ke yi ma? ($10 can?)" the trans squealed, "shi kuai wo zhi tuo diao shang yi!! ($10 i only take off my top!)" so Bing didn't want the trans to assume that he is serious, so he quickly said, "oh, then i don't want." and rode his bicycles off! omg! thruout the trip he kept saying it was fun to hook transverstites! HAHAHAHA! our OBS Junko Outing will definitely be at Changi! we're gonna get him to perform his Oscar Winning Act!

what can i say? OBS was really damn fun! moreover it was mobile! first day learnt the basics like how to pitch a tent, cook food, kayaking, capsizing, rescuing! 2nd day was rock climbing! 3rd day was our Land Expedition! hehe! i was navigator! fun! we like carried our 20kg++ bags around the island! but it was really wonderful cuz everyone was cheering each other on! joanna cant stop singing, "we are going to the zoo zoo zoo! how abt you you you! you can come too too too! we are going to the zoo zoo zoo!" and everytime a mode of transportation goes pass, she'll say her daddy was checking on her! goodness! she can really raise our spirits! sleeping in flooded tents, waking up at 4am realising u have a tap in ur tent, feeling cold wet n hungry just stank (literally cuz we didn't get to bathe for 3 days)! 4th day was our Sea Ex! headed by Joshua who always pitches the tents but always gets to sleep in the worst tent that he pitches! the sea ex was the most fun! we kayaked from sea to meandering mangrove swamps with black water and sinking black lumpy mud to sea again! chinping n i were sweeper so we had to help other kayaks n yes stepping into that swamp mud was not very likable :P aft retiring from ur job, we decided to play "speedboat" and ended up kayaking really fast, zooming pass other kayaks in our expedition! at night we had night walk.. not much kick actually! last day was really sad... we really went thru a lot tgt n OBS was really a once in a life time experience! everyone shld go at least once! altho we went home with a lot of bite marks from monsterous creatures of the insect world, but we really brought back with us many other things. i guess u can say that we all came back as a stronger n more decisive person (: i definitely miss the feeling of being in a team! and i know for sure that once i'm back in s'pore, i'll work harder n make a bigger contribution to my current team (: damn it i really miss all my hockey girls! they say they missed me! waahahahhahahaha! I'LL BE BACK SOON!

the end.
